Hey guys
So Thursday is gonna be our youthmeetin for the week. The Antturis are gonna host the youth on Friday also, but lets all first focus on comin out Thursday night. The event starts at 6:30 and should wrap up around 9:30. I recommend meetin at the Church at 6:15 or so. We'll meet up at the front doors, and then from there.
The address is 3456 Fraser Street, and the church is Glad Tidings Church.

Hey Everyone,
I’d like to ask a favour from you, if I may?
Could you please pray intensely right now for Chris? Please pray for the fire of God to burn EVERY last cell of infection out of Chris’ body.
As some of you may know, Chris got a serious infection and is and has been on intense antibiotics. They have seemed to stalled the infection from spreading in his body, but the antibiotics haven’t seemed to clear the infection like they are supposed to.
The bones in Chris’s leg aren’t healing like they should, and a couple of his wounds are healing WAY slower than they should be.
I’m asking our Father to work an unbelievable miracle in Chris’s life. Will you join with me?

Friday, youth is at Natalie's at 7pm I'd say, unless someone corrects me. I'm assuming if you need directions you should call them.

morals matter. the more one exposes oneself to things like that, the more immune one becomes.
there's a fastforward/skip button there for a reason.
I'm not trying to sound "holier than thou" or anything because i'll admit that i'm faced with the same struggles too. in jr high school "peer pressure" or whatever got me going in the wrong direction of what i was allowing myself to watch.
i'm not saying not to watch movies. and i'm not anti-sex obviously. Sex is good. God designed it. what a great idea! But it was designed to be between you and your (future) spouse, an intimate act of love.
I'll be bold as usual and suggest that if watching sexually suggestive scenes does not make your conscience feel guilty, then maybe you've gone too far with what you've allowed yourself to absorb in the media. Ask God to restore your heart to purity.
so what do you guys think? let me know. i want to hear other perspectives.

i only watched maybe 15 minutes worth of it (bits and pieces here and there between eating, socializing, etc) and it was enough to break my heart that people were comfortable watching it the numerous sexual scenes. well, not necessarily comfortable with it, but not willing to speak up against it. it's not okay to become desensitized and i'm here to remind everyone about that. and it's easy to fall into complacency in many aspects of life, not just in this area
Way to speak your mind Jenni. I totally agree with your thoughts. With the constant attack on our faith, morals and purity by the world. We have to be vigilant and control what we put in front of our eyes, instead of just passively watching movies, reading books and listening to music which will over time de-sensitize you to the filth which the world spews out every moment. I hope that all of you guys had a great night at the Antturis. I had a great night hanging out with Henry, we got to chat a litle bit about our callings and so on. God bless and see you soon
