Missions fest and other stuff

Hey guys

I have a fairly lengthy post this time. I have lots of stuff to cover :)

1. We WILL be going to Missionsfest on Friday night. We'll be attending the Youthrally (JOLT) starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $7 each and are sold at the door. The folks from out here (Surrey,White rock, North Delta etc...) will meet at Scott road station at 6:00 p.m. The rest of the youth will meet us at Metrotown station at 6:20 p.m. If anyone has any questions, please post them or call me.

2. I got a very interesting phone-call today from Eero Sorila. As some of (if not all) know, he is getting married on March 8th of this year. Basically in a nutshell he asked us to cater his wedding! Now he is being very generous and offering to basically pay us what we should have fundraised for the Christmas dinner. All that he would require of US is to dress in
white and black, prepare the food, serve the food and then clean up. I told him that I would confer with you guys and let him know by Sunday. I think though that it is a blessing for us and that we should jump at the chance. Anyways, please give your name and answer on the comments section. Getting work off should not be a problem for anyone as it is almost 2 months away. I need 100% commitment from those of you who answer in the positive. Think about it and answer ASAP...

3. Thanks again to Natalie for last Friday night. The game looked like fun, and above all else, it started a tradition which hopefully continues onwards with our youthnights :)

God bless and see you guys Friday

ps. Remember to bring Skytrain fare and some cash to eat with after the meeting.
pps. If anyone is a little short, write me and we will work it out. Money is no reason to miss out on a special night with the best youth in the world

It is a simple menu. I'm gonna find out for sure Sunday afternoon. But I think its gonna be
1. Roast beef and Salmon
2. Mashed potatoes
3. Salads (maybe 3)
4. Sides (gravy, vegetables, rolls)

It sounded quite basic and quite delish :)I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out

I LOVE peeling potatoes. But maybe I'll wash dishes throughout the day so the clean-up after dinner will be faster. good plan.

do we all get to wear matching clothes and aprons? :P

The post said black pants and white shirts... so if we all wear black pants and white shirts then we'll all be matching. So yes, we will match. I dunno about the aprons tho...

This would be a good fundraiser. So, yes.
