This week and beyond

Hey guys

I got a few things to talk about in this post. I'll start with the most current and move from there.

1. This Friday, we will be meeting at the Church for a movie/hangout night. We havnt had one in ages, and I think it would be a fun thing to do. SO, same rules as always. Suggest movies which would be suitable, and we'll go with magority rules :)
2. June 6th and 8th are gonna be special meetings at the Church. We will be having a praise and worship night on the 6th, and the Sunday morning service will also be special. Petri Kosonen will be attending and leading both meetings, and I for one am looking forward to both. So mark your calendars and make sure to come out to both meetings :)
3. June 15th is Fathers day this year, and the Church will be hosting a "Fathers day picnic" at Dee's island in Delta. I dont have all the details, but its pretty safe to assume that there will be games, food and great fellowship for the picnic. Lets all of us make an effort to come out and show your support towards your fathers.

So yeah, thats it for now. Last week I dropped quite the load on you guys, and I want to reassure you that things are going along just beautifully for the future. I fully trust that God ia arranging an even better leader(yes, its possible) than I was to take the reins of youthwork and teach, preach and show you guys how glorious a life spent following Christ truly is.

Stuff

Hey guys So hopefully everyone has managed to catch up on sleep and also to digest all the great teaching, worship and fellowship that this weekend was full of. I had a great time at HM this year, and I was especially super impressed with the quality of the speakers and the depth of the sermons.But that was last weekend, and this week is racin by again. SO this Friday, we will be gathering at the Church. We are going to have a good night of discussion and feedback on HM and how it is effecting your life. I hope that EVERYONE comes out, as I have some other stuff that I am going to share with you guys also. Have a blessed week and remember to devote some time to God. See you Friday -Miika-

Historymaker

Hey guys

So this coming weekend is the much awaited HISTORMAKER! Most of you know that it is in Chilliwack and takes place over Sat, Sun and half of Monday. A bunch of you booked a while ago with me, so you can sit back and await for all the great worship, teaching and fellowship that HM should provide :)
Those of you who havnt booked yet. Jarno and Liisa are still booking tickets this week, so IF you havnt booked and are plannin on comin . CALL JARNO OR LIISA AND LET THEM KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST.

As for other issues. We WILL be stayin in Hope at my parents place. I know that some of the youth are staying at the Vainios in Chilliwack which will make things less crowded in Hope. We will have food and stuff there for the nights and mornings. You will have to bring some stuff though (SEE LIST AT BOTTOM).

Since registration starts at 10:00 a.m in Chilliwack, and the first event starts at 2:00. I think meeting at 10:00a.m Sat morning at Tim Hortons on 200th st will be our meeting place. It will let us avoid the initial line-ups and yet give us ample time to get there and check out some stuff before the first hub.

Here is a list which you should try to bring for the weekend.
1. A cheerful attitude (a result of praying and preparing during the week)
2. A Pillow and sleeping bag (less laundry for my parents)
3. Money for eating during the day and buying souveniers, CD's etc...
4. Clothes, towel (if saunaing or showering) and so on.
Please try to keep the clothing amounts reasonable. NO HUGE SUITCASES. If it doesnt fit in your lap in the car, then it is TO BIG.

Cliffhangers

Hey guys

So I just got off the phone with Cliffhangers in Coquitlam. I booked a climbing session for us next Friday night. We will start at 7:00 SHARP and climp for 2 hours.
I need EVERYONE who plans on attending to confirm your attendance. So by Tuesday night, EVERYONE has to post there name IF they plan on climbing. The reason is that cliffhangers has to be able to arrange enough belayers.
The cost is $ 22.00 and we should be able to dip into our youth budget to cover about half of the cost for each climber.
So yeah, come out and see how well you can do. It should be a great night, so it might be a good time to invite a friend out also.
