Historymaker

Hey guys

So this coming weekend is the much awaited HISTORMAKER! Most of you know that it is in Chilliwack and takes place over Sat, Sun and half of Monday. A bunch of you booked a while ago with me, so you can sit back and await for all the great worship, teaching and fellowship that HM should provide :)
Those of you who havnt booked yet. Jarno and Liisa are still booking tickets this week, so IF you havnt booked and are plannin on comin . CALL JARNO OR LIISA AND LET THEM KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST.

As for other issues. We WILL be stayin in Hope at my parents place. I know that some of the youth are staying at the Vainios in Chilliwack which will make things less crowded in Hope. We will have food and stuff there for the nights and mornings. You will have to bring some stuff though (SEE LIST AT BOTTOM).

Since registration starts at 10:00 a.m in Chilliwack, and the first event starts at 2:00. I think meeting at 10:00a.m Sat morning at Tim Hortons on 200th st will be our meeting place. It will let us avoid the initial line-ups and yet give us ample time to get there and check out some stuff before the first hub.

Here is a list which you should try to bring for the weekend.
1. A cheerful attitude (a result of praying and preparing during the week)
2. A Pillow and sleeping bag (less laundry for my parents)
3. Money for eating during the day and buying souveniers, CD's etc...
4. Clothes, towel (if saunaing or showering) and so on.
Please try to keep the clothing amounts reasonable. NO HUGE SUITCASES. If it doesnt fit in your lap in the car, then it is TO BIG.

That should cover it for now. If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns. Feel free to post, write, call or yell them.

Have a great week and remember to give some time to God to prepare you for the coming weekend.

God bless
-Miika-
ps. There will be NO youth on Friday obviously.
pps. If anyone needs a ride to Tim Hortons in Langley, post or write, it can be arranged.
ppps. If anyone is a little short for food money or so on, write me and we can work something out. Its vital that all that want to come, come!!! :)

Who needs to shower? If you don't, that way when you're down at the front you'll get more space to yourself or then all the body odors will mix and you won't know who stinks.

Calling Jarno or Liisa seems to be the advice given over all ticket inquiries.

What do you mean if it doesn't fit in your lap it's too big?! What do you mean by BIG suitcases? Is something the size of one of those roll on carry on suitcase things people bring on planes too big?

Anonymous said...

If you're sitting in the backseat of a car with all of the backseat full, your bag is small enough if you can fit it on your lap without killing your legs or blocking the sight of the driver.

In other words, just be reasonable.

duffle bag :)

Anonymous said...

If you take a bag and we deem it too large, feel free to expect one of us to saw it in half and donate one half of your stuff to Tim Hortons. =P

AHHHH YEAH HM IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! :)

Anonymous said...

Well isnt' "Langley" specific. There are a million Tim Hortons' in Langley. =P

I have me, Marja, Noah and Brittany in my ride so far. I have room for one more, so it will probably be Emma since she lives closest.

-Miika-
ps. Everyone will get a ride though, we'll just figure it out at Tim Hortons. Its the one on 200th st right off Highway #1.

A vouloir vivre trop vite, vouloir tout essayer
Je te préviens petite, ça va mal terminer

Anonymous said...

A desire to live too quickly, wanting to try everything
I warn you small things go wrong conclusion

(thats the transulation of the french!!! i googled it:D)

Anonymous said...

Take it a bit slower then Nina...

Anonymous said...

haha that's a direct translation. It actually goes:

To live too quickly, to want to try everything,
I warn you, little one, it will end badly

HA sounds so much better en français...
And I wasn't singing it to myself =P

apparantly it will only take 16 minutes to burn today (UV index). no wonder my shoulders are red from doing almost a couple hours of homework in the sun yesterday :P
Jenni

Anonymous said...

sun's back !! :D

Anonymous said...

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

By the lack of response over needing rides, I am safely assuming that everyone has arranged to be at our meeting place at 10:00 am.
Good stuff, we'll see you tomorrow
