Ski Camp + New Years

The plans for the ski camp have gone foreword and here is the proposal:

Date: Pending (Now most likely Jan 15-17, SEE DISCUSSION IN COMMENTS)
Place: Somewhere, where Justin et.comp. are located 5h inland.

Plan: Rent a van and drive together to stay with Justin and his band at an old church they have rented out. The Ski/Snowboard slopes are close & cheap and the boys have even some fun stuff at their backyard ('little' slope, camp fire place etc.). So we would have a chance to hang out together, meet Justin and his band and enjoy/participate in their music 'ministry' i.e. worship together!, go skiing/snowboarding, eat, play, pray and draw near to God!

So let me know if your in...
if possible before Christmas, so I can make the van rental soon

Is anyone willing to arrange a new years Youth Group thing?
I'm sorry but I will be away, due to sudden necessary travel plans...
So if someone kind and hospitable would gather the remnant, it would be great!

and preparing for an awesome ski camp!

Reflections and plans

Thank you all for a great fall together.
I was especially touched by your willingness to serve the kids in our kid's connection nights! This fall we started to gather as a youth small group in homes and I felt it was good. We've had more time to hang out together and more people have been coming. Of course things are developing as we are growing together to strike a good balance in having the gatherings as a place of spiritual growth as well as fun time with friends. But what it takes is a commitment to grow and develop together. So thank you for being there and making Friday's meaningful times! The group has changed also during this fall... some old timers were not able to come so much and some new brave souls have joined us (Rob, Jeremy, Mikko, Emma;). Hopefully we can do a better job in looking after each other and encouraging one another to stay connected.

Now is our Christmas break (I just had my last day of fall term Wednesday:).
But this Friday there is a Guys night
at Jesse's place in Richmond 7.30-?pm
(Welcome especially Tim & Nico).
Jenni told me that girls seemed to be busy,
so no girls special this Friday...
(unless something spontaneous still happens;).

Blessings to your Christmas time!
- it's the most wonderful time of the year...

This is why:

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever! Amen. (Gal 1:3-5)

But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights. (Gal 4:4-5)

need a breather?

It's the time of year when the frost bites our nose,
rain soaks our clothes and
Christmas rises our hopes.
Few more weeks to hang in there and then we get a break from school and can celebrate one of the most beautiful times of the year. It never ceases to amaze me that God would come down to us to give us the gift of Life that we had lost.

In the midst of all our business it's great to have space and place to have a breather and enjoy Life together. So welcome on Friday to take a break and know that God is near!
