Merry Christmas everyone,

Hello all,This week is shaping out to be another relatively busy week so far… lots of action coming up and going on. Have a couple of food deliveries in the community and also perhaps a furniture delivery to a family. How is everyone’s week going? Can’t believe spring is already upon us and the school year is winding down, it’s the final stretch. I myself am really looking forward to this summer season!
So this Friday we will meet up at our place for 7-7:30pm. We’ll spend time in prayer and worship and also take a look at God’s word and discuss things. Also if you want to bring something good for everyone to snack on that would be most welcome. So come on out.
This Sunday we are having our yearly celebration at church. Starting time is 11:00am and there will be food afterwards in the fellowship hall. Also if you can stick around to help out with a little clean up that would be great.
Looking forward to seeing you guys and have a great week!
Blessings,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia
PS: come see Natalia roll around… she’s growing so fast

Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.In the New Testament Jesus teaches the same thing to us. You’ll notice that Jesus used a portion of these verses when he responded to one of Satan’s tempts during His 40 days in the wilderness. From that response you can see how great Jesus’ living example here on earth was to us personally! Because it was not just a random response that Jesus gave, but a declaration of his to his dependence on the Father. Surly Jesus was thinking about the verses that are before and after the one he used as his response. His life paralleled and took on that of Israel in that he was also in the wilderness being tested. He didn’t take the easy way out and turn the stones to bread to satisfy his hunger, but He submitted himself to what God the Father’s plans for that time of testing were.
-Deut 8:2-5
