TGIF @ DJ's Place

Hi all,

So spring is here and what lovely wet weather we are having as I look out my office window... but hey the cherry blossoms are blossoming now and it's a sign of the greenery to come. I can't wait for those nicer, warmer, drier, sunnier days to be upon us. Really looking forward to camping trips and stuff.

So this Friday we are going to meet up at Daniel and Jenni's place for 7:30pm. We will spend some time in discussion and prayer and other than that just hanging out and enjoying a good time (I might bring Settlers of Catan Traders & Barbarians that I just picked up if anyone wants to give it a try). Also if you are willing and able bring something good to snack on for everyone.

Then, Sunday, we are having our Communion Meal at the church @ 11:15am. Miika will be bringing the main dish of curry and Tim will sharing some thoughts and words with everyone, and of course we will take communion together. So come out Sunday morning for the service.

Hope everyone is having a great week and is doing well with the last stretch of school or then surviving at work.

March's Connected Night

Hello all,

Sorry for the late post this week... but I've been preoccupied with some things and stuff, you know how it goes sometimes. Well hope everyone is having a great week and here are the plans and events for the weekend:

1. This Friday March 25th @ 7:00pm is our Connected Night together. It will be down in the basement this month, so we'll be all comfy and cozy. There will be friends, food, games, and a program for the kids. So come on out and just hang out with your peeps, also if you feel that you want to help out with some kids, you're more than welcome to (we always need it).

2. Sunday morning service is at 11:15am, and that would be the morning of March 27th. Come on out to worship God together and listen to His word. It's never dull. See ya there!

So I hope to see everyone this weekend and also Natalie is leaving back for Cali already this Saturday, oh how time flies! But have a great week and we'll see you soon my friends. God bless.

Welcome to our home

Hello all,

This week is shaping out to be another relatively busy week so far… lots of action coming up and going on. Have a couple of food deliveries in the community and also perhaps a furniture delivery to a family. How is everyone’s week going? Can’t believe spring is already upon us and the school year is winding down, it’s the final stretch. I myself am really looking forward to this summer season!

So this Friday we will meet up at our place for 7-7:30pm. We’ll spend time in prayer and worship and also take a look at God’s word and discuss things. Also if you want to bring something good for everyone to snack on that would be most welcome. So come on out.

This Sunday we are having our yearly celebration at church. Starting time is 11:00am and there will be food afterwards in the fellowship hall. Also if you can stick around to help out with a little clean up that would be great.

Weekend at Bernies.. I mean Niko's.

Hello all you great peeps,

How was that for an opening address? Not too shabby huh? But I do mean it, you guys are all great! So I hope this week finds you well and that all is going well. This week is a big week for me because I'm turning the big 3-0 on the tenth, this Thursday. It's a number I've kind of been trying to avoid so far... heh, but I don't think I can actually avoid it. But hey, just another number and another stage of life; got to enjoy them all right?

So this Friday we are meeting up at Bernie's place, I mean Niko's place in Whiterock at 7:30pm. Heh, just laughing to myself because if you google up weekend at Bernie's there's a fine fellow there with dark glasses on who looks blind, he's actually dead but that's not the point. Niko's getting laser eye surgery this week and he may end up looking like this dude with dark glasses if he looks to the side when the laser begins its work... so Niko don't look to the side buddy. So come on out to Niko's, bring something good to eat or drink as well if you want to share with everyone. We'll spend some time looking into God's word and also in prayer.

Now I know we had talks about going curling this Saturday but we'll have to postpone this date maybe to next weekend? What do you guys think?

Back to the Friday

Hi guys,

How is everyone doing this week? Hope everyone is having a great week so far. My week is going rather well so far and I hope that continues. I'm so excited, Natalia is already growing in her first tooth on the bottom... so fast this little girl of mine.

So prayer month has ended and now we are switching back to our usual Fridays. So this Friday we are going to meet up at our place for 7:00pm. So welcome everyone to our humble home. Looking forward to seeing you guys.

This Sunday is communion Sunday so we will be having our meal together as usual. So welcome all to the church @ 11:15am and see you there.
