Summer is Here!!

Hello guys,

So today is the first day of summer!!... and what a summery day it is! Hopefully these kinds of days are here to stay from now on!

So first thing first.. summer camp is approaching fast. This year we are having it in August from the 18th-21st and we need you! We need counselor and staff, so let me know asap if you are able to help out this year, it would be awesome guys! Also this Friday we are having a camp meeting at the church for 6:30pm and would love for you guys to be able to come and be a part of the planning and creative process for camp! So I encourage you if you are going to be a part of camp this summer, come out to the meeting.

Then, it would be great to go out to a beach to play some volleyball and maybe BBQ some food up, and just hang out. What do you guys think... would you guys be up for it either on Friday after the meeting or then during the day on Saturday? What works best for everyone... then we can decide on a beach. Please post your thoughts in the comments section.

Sunday morning service is at 11:15am so come on out for that. I will be preaching up a storm so come out to hear it! Also Natalie has started her first day of work for the summer at the church today, great to have her help. =)

Blessings all,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia

Jesse's Farewell BBQ

Hey guys,

So a rough week for us Vancouverites, but overall it was a great playoffs, a great season, and a ton of fun to watch. It's a real bummer that it all had to end with a riot, really disappointing, but that's what you get I guess with a bigger city... where you get people who go out looking to start this kind of thing.

Anyways this Saturday there is a farewell BBQ for Jesse happening at the Noso's new place in Richmond. It should be a great time!! It starts at 12:30pm and bring your own meat and whatever you want to share potluck style, also bring swimming suits and a towel... cause the Noso's have a swimming pool. Here is their address: 9831 Pinewell Cresecent, Richmond. So come on out to have a good time and send Jesse off to Finland.

Then on Sunday we are having our service at 11:15am, their will be coffee and donuts in the beginning in honor of father's day. See ya there.

Blessings,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia

Is it the Canucks' week?

Hello all,

So this week may be the week that many Canucks fans have been waiting for years... will we get the Stanley Cup on Friday? So that really depends if we win tonight, game 4. I really hope that we do especially after the ridiculousness of last game.

So with that said there will be no young adults this Friday... many of us already have plans to go downtown or other places to watch the game, so therefore we will not have young adults this Friday.

However, we have an opportunity to help some people. There is an elderly couple who really need a hand with some yard work and around the house. Washing windows, cutting grass, weeding, etc... So I'm asking if you guys want to help them out as a group. We would go to their place one of the upcoming Saturdays for a few hours and get a bunch of stuff done to help them out. What do you guys say? Tanya said that she will also come along with us. I say we do it and show the love of Christ that is in us!!

Sunday morning service is at 11:15am so come on out to that as well. See you there.

Blessings all,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia

So now that there is no game on Friday....

Hi gang,

I feel like Fred off of scooby doo when I write that lol... loved that cartoon as a kid. So tonight is the big kickoff for the cup finals between our Canucks and the Bruins. I'm really excited to see how things go... so watch the game tonight and cheer for our team, well everyone except Nina can watch (but Nina you can still cheer).

However this Friday, since there is no game on, we'll have our prayer walk around the neighborhood of the church. So come out and we'll meet at the church for 7:00pm and afterwards we'll head to our place to plan our video and hang out. Sound good peeps?

This Sunday morning we are having our communion meal together at the church at 11:15am. So come on out for a Godly time together with the congregation.

Hope everyone is having a great week all is going well. Remember to meditate on God throughout your days and be aware of His presence. Be conscious and watchful of what God is saying to you during your day, because He is with us throughout each of our days and He wants to speak to us. He is our living God who cares about us and wants the best for each of us.

Blessings,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia

PS: Tim have a great time and Finland, say hi to Mimmi, and have a wonderful wedding buddy!!
