Christmas Party

Merry Christmas everyone,

Man I hope it snows!! I'm just itching to see some of that white stuff in the city for this years Christmas time... how about you guys? It just brings such a feeling of winter and Christmas as it should be, makes everything look brighter and more cheerful; at least to me it does.

So this Friday we are having our Christmas party at Daniel and Jenni's place in Delta @ 7:30pm. We will be having our gift exchange/steeling game as always so bring a small $5-$10 gift for the exchange if you wish to participate, which you do, right? Also bring something Christmasy and good to eat or drink for everyone, let's make it a real feast and celebration in remembrance of the when our saviour Jesus was born into this world.

This Sunday morning is our Christmas Carol service @ 11:15am. Come on out to sing some Christmas songs in honour of Jesus' birthday.

Also don't forget that we are having our Help a Family Christmas Hamper program and this weekend is the last weekend to donate non-perishable foods, clothing, toys, or money/gift cards to help one of the 9 families in need. Thanks.

God bless,
Jarno, Liisa, and Nansku

Friday at Zachby's

Hi guys,

So Christmas is fast approaching and I still have some shopping to do... thankfully not too much since we did half our shopping online. It's a pleasant way to Christmas shop when you just order stuff online and it gets shipped to your door; no stress looking for parking, waiting in lines, dodging around people in the mall, etc... I highly recommend it!

So anyways this Friday we are meeting up at Zach's place in Richmond @ 7:30pm. If you need the address just get a hold of myself, Liisa, or Zach. Come on out to hang out at the chateau de Noso and bring something tasty to eat for everyone if you can.

This Sunday is our Christmas service @ 5:00pm. Come on out to see the play of Marty the Shoemaker and to enjoy the service in general. There will be a Christmas bake/market afterwards with some refreshments also.

See you guys later,
Jarno, Liisa, and Nansku

Month of December

Hey everyone,

My apologies for the extremely late post this week, plans were up in the air for a while as to where we would have young adults this week... and that is my fault, so my apologies. So today is December 1st, which I can't believe it is already btw, and I'll run down what our month looks like.

So this Friday, tomorrow, we will be meeting up at our place in Burnaby(close to Metrotown, if you need our address just ask) @ 7:30pm. We'll close off our fall topic of the spiritual realm and also just hangout and have a good time as usual. Bring some eats to share with everyone if you can.

So what does the rest of December look like? Well I'm glad you asked.
-Dec. 9th we'll have young adults @ 7:30pm(place is still to be determined, so if you want to host us that Friday please let me know.)
-Dec. 16th we will be having our Christmas party at Daniel & Jenni's place @ 7:30pm.(there will be our usual gift exchange... so gifts between $5-$10, no awkward iPod gifts please b/c will be playing the stealing game.)
- Then we'll be taking a 2 week holiday break from our "official" Friday nights, but that doesn't mean that we can't arrange something if we want to(say for New Years.)
- Ski Camp Jan. 6-8th @ Whistler so book that time to come up with the group.

Church wise we will be having our Christmas service Dec. 11th @ 5:00pm. Then on Dec. 18th @ 11:15am we will be having a special Christmas carol service with a short word. Also there will be no service on Dec. 25th Christmas morning. All other service are on Sunday mornings @ 11:15am.

So that is what our calendar looks like. If you have any questions just give me a holler.

Blessings everyone,
Jarno, Liisa, and Natalia
