May Connected Night

Hello all,

It was a nice way to end our Friday night young adults group last week at Natalie's place. Thank you everyone for the wonderful memories and loving words, and thanks again Natalie for hosting us. This group has been a blessing to all our lives for many years, and will continue to be as we shift into more of a home group type.

On to this weeks business. Connected Night is happening this Friday at the church @ 7:00pm. Kids' program will be starting at 7:15pm and as always we could use a hand with helping out. This will be our last Connected Night as we head into the summer and will be restarting again in the fall time. So come on out to make it a big and special Connected Night.

Sunday morning service is @ 11:15am, also don't forget we will start off with a special general meeting regarding our new senior pastor. If you are an official member of the church you also have the right to cast a vote for electing the new senior pastor. If you are not an official member you are still very welcome to attend the meeting and get info on what is happening and who this family is.

Ended it off with a bang

Hey everyone,

So as many of you have heard our young adults ccg is coming to an end. The group will be morphing into a small group style that will be run by the attending members on a rotation. The reason for this is that we will be launching a youth group that will take over the weekly Friday nights.

So we will be having a celebration at Natalie's place to close this chapter off. This Friday night at 7:30pm be there or be square. Bring something to eat or drink to share with everyone and we will have a great time reminiscing about the many years behind us.

Also if you guys have some favourite photos from the years past send them my way... I will put together a  slide show of all the pics I receive so we can all look through them together. So please email me pictures so this can happen. =)

And then of course Sunday morning we are having our service at 11:15am. See you there.

Car Wash Fundraiser

Hey everyone,

The sun is shining! The sun is shining! It actually is shining and for longer than a day. :) Wow, it's so nice to have some nice weather and not have it rain almost everyday. I must say I was getting a little down with the weather. So now that the sun is shining let's move on to our plans for young adults this week.

We will be having our first car wash fundraiser for kid's camp this Saturday at the church. Please arrive around the 10:30am mark and we will get started with washing. We will also have the BBQ set up for selling hotdogs to people when they stop so hotdogs are provided for you as well for lunch. We will not be going for the whole day so we'll be shutting it down sometime in the afternoon.

Hope to see a good amount of us out this Saturday, the funds are really needed to help with keeping the costs down for families for camp, and since we're at Loon Lake which brings our costs significantly higher than last years summer camp.

Also Sunday morning service at the church starts @ 11:15am. Join us for mother's day, we'll have some coffee and other things out before the service and also the kids' have a performance for the mothers before the service. So head over for at 11:00am to take part in the mother's day program.
