Any room?

When Jesus was born, it took place in an animal shelter.
Why?
There was no other room.

While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. She gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room in the hostel. (Luke 2:6-7, The Message)

How are our lives?
Do we have room for Jesus?
Are our lives too crowded, too busy with other things that we fail to sanctify Lord Jesus in our hearts (separate our hearts for Him)?
I struggle with this often.
My personal aim is to develop my life to be totally centered around knowing Jesus. Not just knowing about Him and doing the right thing, but really living in a day to day relationship with Him, where I am aware of His presence and respond to His voice. I want to make more room for Him.

The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I'm tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God's righteousness. (Philippians 3:7-9, The Message)

Jess, dad was not in a bad mood from driving in snow all day. We would have gone, but the roads were apparently pretty bad. Police were telling people to stay off the roads!
